Concept:
Another brick in Pink's wall is the loss of his wife. This song is a pastiche
of a rock and roll band on the road and the inevitable sexual encounters,
and is stereotypical of the kind of songs young rock bands play.
Roger Waters: When I wrote this song, the words were quite different. It
was about leaving school, wandering about town, hanging around outside porno
movies and dirty bookshops and things like that : being very interested
in sex but too frightened to get involved. Now it's completely different.
That was a function of all of us working together on the record, particulary
Dave Gilmour and Bob Ezrin. Comment:
