Keep Talking

KEEP TALKING
FACTS/COMMENTS

Comment: The song features the eminent physicist Professor Stephen Hawking of Cambridge University, speaking at the beginning. In 1993, Hawking lent his voice to television messages for British Telecom. David Gilmour was moved by this message, which coincided so well with the thoughts he wanted to express on The Division Bell album. He obtained permission to use the voice track and altered it a bit to fit it to some music they already had, which became this song.

Comment: The page number 19 is given in French, dix-neuf. The artwork by Ian Wright shows a monkey's face made up of smaller monkeys, in front of one stone head and one steel head designed by sculptor Keith Breeden for Storm Thorgerson.
