Comment: Roger Waters was first heard performing a segment of this song during rehearsals for The Wall concert in Berlin on July 19, 1990.

Roger Waters: The first two verses were written in the mid-'80s and are an evocation of Ronald Reagan. But the third verse used to be about Berlin - 'Berlin babies sing this song' - and that's gone. So this is the only bit specifically to do with Desert Storm...th theatre of the people in the bar watching television and enjoying us winning is what that third verse is about.
